Native Women in FILM is a presented by Red Nation International Film Festival and a program of Red Nation Celebration Institute. Our supporters are a community of passionate individuals and organizations that are united in their support of diversity on the big screen and on television in order to advance the work of Native and Indigenous independent artists in film, theatre, and music and to share their stories with the world.
Native Women in FILM community understands that it is essential for a healthy and vibrant society to engage in the stories of contemporary American Indian lives.
In Los Angeles movie lovers will experience authentic storytelling at its best directly from native women filmmakers. The Festival is the Home to the Native Documentary Voice and Indie NDN Films, presenting personal stories of truth and skillful artistry; the documentary films we screen connect us and bridge the cultural gap. The feature films we screen continue to prove that American Indian Image is bankable and marketable.
The Festival engages Native community members, Native filmmakers, artists, studio executives, producers, movie lovers and the general public an incomparable opportunity to experience American Indian Storytelling and inspire dialogue with new audiences.
